Roger and Brenda

It was a difficult decision to place Arline in a memory care facility but placing her at Country Manor has been a good decision.  Miranda and the staff have been very good to Arline; they are very accommodating.  We thought the transition for Arline would be challenging, but she seemed to adjust very quickly.  Miranda and Sarahjayne were awesome in helping us adjust to Arline being in a new home as well as helping us to better understand dementia.

We have seen improvement in Arline’s self-care.  They can get her to shower and change her clothes.  Her medicine is now being taken at a regular time and she is eating regular meals.  The past couple of times we visited Arline, she had on clean clothes and a smile! We are able to visit her and enjoy short visits rather than worry about making certain sure she is safe, and all of her needs are being met. The staff at Country Manor has allowed us to enjoy Arline as a mother and mother-in-law instead of us becoming full time care takers.
